How to install your private Facets Control Plane


The Facets Control Plane is privately hosted and hence stays within your cloud perimeters.


  1. An AWS account (A new AWS account preferably allocated for this) to host the Facets Control Plane.
  2. A Git repo to host the blueprint for your application architecture.

Deploying Facets Control Plane

1️⃣ Click on the personalized link sent to you to launch a cloud formation stack in the newly created AWS account. This will create an IAM Role.


Do not change region (default Mumbai) while creating the IAM role. This creates the IAM role and communicates to Facets.

Please communicate your preferred AWS region to Facets team.

2️⃣ Facets will use the IAM Role to install the Facets Control Plane in your AWS account in the region that you have communicated. The control plane will consume a EKS cluster with a single node. You will receive a Facets Control Plane URL (for e.g., to access your Control Plane.

3️⃣ You will receive an admin access to your Facets Control Plane to get started.

What to expect when you login?

You will be able to see the Facets Control Plane UI when you login.

For the purpose of getting started, the admin user access is sufficient. Refer to the section Managing Users if you wish to add more users.
