Release v0.39 brings updates like Provided Kubernetes Environments, Dynamic Dashboards, Azure Service Bus Module, Cassandra Module, and many more enhancements and bug fixes.

✨ What's New

  • Provided Kubernetes Environments
    Facets is excited to announce the support for provided Kubernetes environments. Users can now directly manage resources and releases in their existing Kubernetes clusters from the Facets Control Plane.
    • To link your Kubernetes account, refer to the Integrating Cloud Accounts documentation.
    • Please note that only the default namespace can be used, and you should have Admin privileges in this cluster in order to complete the environment creation process.
  • Introducing Dynamic Dashboards in Facets
    Enhance your resource monitoring and management with new dashboards for resource types Dashboard, Ingress, and Service. These dynamic dashboards are enabled by default, and you can access them from the Dashboard tab on the individual Resource Details page.

  • Azure Service Bus Module
    Introducing the Azure Service Bus Module to Facets, enhancing our cloud integration capabilities. With this, you can integrate and manage Azure Service Bus resources within Facets.
  • Cassandra Module
    Introducing the Cassandra Module to Facets, enhancing our support for flexible cloud database solutions. This new module allows you to integrate and manage Cassandra databases within the Facets.
  • Enhanced Alpha Service
    We have enabled sidecar support for alpha services, providing you with even more versatility in your configurations.
  • Mount Secrets into Services
    Facets allows you to mount secrets into alpha services, providing enhanced security in your deployments.
  • Expanded Ingress Resource Functionality
    Facets now enables you to access all your ingress outputs via the ingress resource overview page, allowing you to efficiently wire ingress output in your resources.

📈 Enhancements

  • Enhanced Error Handling
    Improved error handling for token expiration, invalid tokens, and insufficient permissions for cloud accounts, providing more intuitive error messages in such cases.
  • User Interface Enhancements
    Implemented various UI enhancements to enhance user experience and provide a more intuitive interface across the application.

🐞 Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where, after successfully triggering a release, the latest release was not being updated.
  • Fixed minor bugs in Blueprint Designer.
